I'm on a "Happiness" Quest for 2013 - a quest to eliminate stress (or finally learn to handle it better), increase energy, become more productive, and generally enjoy my life more.
This is so important to me, that I am still compiling my list of goals and projects for the year. I want to be clear. I want to be committed. I want to look back at 2013 with pride.
I want to live with happy intentions (which the Dalai Lama touts as a key factor to living with joyful presence). So, in lieu of waking up on the wrong side of the bed due to too little sleep or negative ancitipation for the days events (admittedly, I have been entirely crab-apple-y lately due to pregnancy, a bad flu, and the accompanying waking up at 1am, 3am, and 5am...) and grumpily greeting my day, my week, my month... what if I greeted the Day with a cheerful "welcome" and a deep breath of gratitude - ? What if I set my intention for "feel good" items every day or over the weekend - things which exist separate and apart from the "to do" list of chores, business agendas, and home projects - things such as taking a cat nap, calling a loved one, enjoying a cup of tea, or soaking in the tub?
This weekend, I intend to: enjoy a cup of tea by the fire; take a luxurious bubble bath, and nurture myself back to health.
What Happy Intentions will you make for your weekend?
